Take Time for You
I’m re-gifting you this year with the same present I gave you in 2004. Remember how well it fit? It's a permission slip, to be redeemed over the next ten days. Use this gift to take advantage of the opportunities that being a lifestyle entrepreneur offers.
Do you ever ask yourself why you choose the work you do? I do, and the answer is this: I love what I do, plus it gives me the flexibility to enjoy what's most important in my life—my family and friends and time for myself. Since our adult children were all with us when we celebrated my husband’s birthday last month, we knew that December would be a quiet time for just the two of us. So, I will be using the end of December to renew and restore my most precious investment—ME!
I plan to rest, read, watch movies and stay in. I've given myself that permission. The living room couch, which rarely sees the likes of me, is now beckoning. And I can’t wait. The prospect of lounging around and not having any meetings, calls or obligations for one week is enthralling. I wouldn’t like it as a steady diet, but as a stay-at-home vacation with no sight-seeing, it can’t be beat.
If you'd like to head into 2007 with renewed enthusiasm and excitement for your business, accept my gift and use it to recharge your batteries, get away from your desk and fill your own well. No need to thank me! Though I'd love to know that you redeemed your permission slip and how that felt.
All the best for a joyous, abundant and peaceful break.
